OJ makes the best props we have tested.  Skiers and Riders simply love them.  OJ props provide a firmer pull and make controlling boat speed for wakeboard much easier.  Slalom skiers appreciate how OJ Props do not "run" with the skier in the pre-turn.  We only stock OJ XMP CNC machined props.  We stock all the major inboard sizes on our shelves..... usually 5 to 10 props deep.

The price of props is changing at constant pace, and OJ's dealer policy does not allow us to post on the web our deeply discounted prices.  To get the most current pricing, check on our online store.  Just click on the link above or click on the link below to receive a price list via email:

Which prop is right for you?

Wow that is a good question.  We have been testing props for years.  We approach prop testing from two angles:  Primary Concern: What does is feel like to the skier/rider?  How are the wakes?  How does it hold wakeboard speeds How does it stay with a skier in the pre-turn?   Our secondary concern is: what does it feel like in the boat?  Our last concern is what does it cost?  This is a very different approach than many boat manufactures take.  They ask first: What will it cost, then how does it feel in the boat -- many do not even ask for skier/rider testing.

The Gold Standard is now the OJ XMP prop series.

The CNC machined XMP is an incredible prop to which all other props are compared.  If you come around a prop test, you will hear something like, "compared to the XMP this prop feels........"  OJ has taken great lengths to make this the best prop they have ever made.  As of summer of 2004, it is better than even the old gold standard -- the Legend. In our current tests and reports, every skier or rider picks the XMP over every other prop.  AND --  The XMP prop is very very very smooth in the boat.

How does the XMP compare to the competition's machined prop.  There is no comparison.  OJ continues to be the best prop out there.  Pull and preturn are superior.  The competition might be cheaper but not better.  We are asking if price might be the reason some boat manufacturers are using props other than OJ.  We have had numerous customers take the competition's OEM prop off their boats to put an OJ on.

Three or Four Blade???????

Three Blade if.........

Your boat has a one to one transmission and you ski, jump, barefoot, general boating, or wakeboard with a minimally weighted boat.  The XMP 3 blade is a wonderful design.  The blades are huge -- has more surface area than the four blade.  This design really helps compensate for boats that do not have gear reduction transmissions.  Malibu owners -- this is your prop.   Our customers have been raving about this prop.  It out performs the 4 blade on one to one transmission boats!  FYI -- if you have a 13 x 13 prop on your boat now -- order the 13 x 11.5 3 blade.  That is how efficient this prop is.

Four Blade if..........

Your boat has gear reduction transmission (ie: 1.23 to 1, or 1.5 to 1, V-drive, Powerslot, etc) -- or -- you weight the boat heavily for riding.  The four blade performs better than the 3 blade with these boats.  We still have not figured out why -- but does.

What about the Legend:
This is a great prop.  We still carry a few in stock and can order anything you would like.  This is an awesome prop -- but the XMP is better.  We decided to reduce our inventory of Legends in the fall of 2004 and make the XMP our prop of choice.  You can still order a Legend from both our online store and via telephone.

Bare Footers with Direct Drive Trans:
The XMP 3 Blade prop is the only way to go.  Eric at OJ has figured out how to make the 3 blade with as much surface area as the 4 blade.  It is about 2 mph faster.  Great barefoot prop.
