Prop Kits are a great way to carry your spare prop. A prop kit is a soft side case and includes a prop puller, wrench, spare nut, spare cotter pin, and spare key. All that you will need to change out a dinged prop while out at the lake. Moreover, the prop case protects your boat from damage from the sharp edges of a prop. JProp Kits come with
two options of pullers. The traditional "C-Clamp" style puller and the
less expensive harmonic puller. We recommend the "C-Clamp" style.
Why???? The harmonic puller works this way. Take off the prop nut.
Screw on the harmonic puller. Smack it hard with a hammer until the prop
"pops" loose from the tapered shaft. That just seems like a lot a
unnecessary vibration going up thru the tranny to us.
